The Study of Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviour with regards to HIV/AIDS among young people in Azerbaijan
(Global Fund 2011-2012)
The overall purpose of the study is to increase understanding of the factors that contribute to HIV/AIDS related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors among different social and age segments of the young population. The objectives of the study:

To evaluate the level of awareness on HIV/AIDS including the ways of HIV transmission, methods of its prevention, and common misconceptions about HIV/AIDS in young people.
- To assess young peoples attitudes towards individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and measures on HIV/AIDS prevention
- To describe HIV/AIDS related behaviors in young people including multiple sex partners, condom use, drug injection, and VCT service utilization.
- To find out whether there were significant differences in HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitude, and behavior among young people for the last years
- To develop recommendations on strengthening communication strategies on HIV/AIDS prevention among young people
